He/They
E. Prybylski is the author of the Boston Blight universe and the How to Finish the Damn Book duology. He is also the founder of the Neurodivergent Publishing Conference, the Northeastern Cohort Leader for Author Nation, and the New England Chapter Head for the Editorial Freelancers Association. He is a regular public speaker on the subjects of neurodivergence, writing, accessibility, and publishing.
Outside of writing, he is an active participant in the Society for Creative Anachronism where he is a regular on the fencing field as both a combatant and an instructor. E. also plays a variety of instruments and spends a large percentage if his time gaming — both as a TTRPG fan and a lover of video games.
In addition. E. is openly neurodivergent, queer, and disabled. He is autistic, ADHD, CPTSD, dyslexic, and dyscalculic as well as having Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
He met a man in a bar.
No, really. He did.
While in college in 2008, E. moonlighted as a karaoke host, working with his father’s karaoke business. At one of the regular gigs he worked at, he was talking to a regular who revealed themself to be the owner of an indie publisher. E. had always wanted to write books. He had been chasing that dream since childhood, and when they mentioned that to the publisher, they offered to train him to be an editor.
The rest is history. E. studied and worked with that publisher for years before branching out into his own writing and publishing career, and now he is an industry expert who helps mentor and guide others, both authors and editors.
